Here We Go!!

There’s no more hiding! Although I’ll still be “hiding” in my sewing room for a few more weeks. Let me explain! Project Run and Play somehow figured that I might be a good choice for a contestant on this upcoming Season 14!! Now, I’m not sure if they just ran out of people available or what, but I’ll take it! I love a good challenge and this whole PR&P scene has already taught me a lot about how I’m inspired and how much I can actually push myself to do things I didn’t think I could. I know already that I’m learning even more by being in this particular position. Of course the pressure of needing to collect votes is RIDICULOUS/CRAZY/INTIMIDATING!!

So, stay tuned! The Project Run and Play team are going to be sharing more details on our themes, some close-ups of each of the designers/contestants, what kind of prizes are out there, and how you can link up your own things to sew along.

These are my sew along outfits from Season 3 and the middle one is the outfit I had the joy of winning with for the Signature Style week.

Sewing along is how I finally was able to participate and I highly recommend it especially for you highly motivated folk that love the pressure and challenge. Unless you happen to be one of those speedy sewists, in which case, please, sew along at your leisure (she says without an ounce of sarcasm or envy of fast makers…)

For those not familiar with the whole format of this, I NEED YOUR VOTES! While I don’t get voted “off the island”, I certainly can’t stay either if I don’t get enough votes. Each week one person will be eliminated. They say it’s not a competition if we all get to stay till the end. I’ll be shamelessly asking/reminding my friends and family to vote each week because let’s be clear, if you’re blood related you had better be voting for me! But the best way to stay informed would be to subscribe to my blog on the menu page. I’ll have my pictures up for each week along with the link to head on over to for voting. It all starts in just under 2 weeks. Yikes! I need to go sew!

I’m surrounded with 5 other talented ladies and I wish them all the best as well! No one is going to make this easy for the others, I know it!

I’ll leave you with 2 more outfits that I made for the sew alongs over the summer. Both being huge favourites of mine which just shows me that this contest really does inspire me in the best ways.
