I love holiday dresses. There's just something exciting about making something fancy and perhaps a little over the top...even if it's not totally practical. For a couple years now I've wanted to design a dress that would work for everyday, but also have the look and feel of something that could be "glammed up". Since… Continue reading The Cranberry Dress
This year has had a bit more of an athletic feel to it over at Sofiona Designs. We started out with the Tamarack Tights which paired nicely with the Cattail Tank (or dress). Then we added the Spruce Skirt/Skort and a cute/casual cropped hoodie (the Clover). The Sturgeon Swimsuit follows that same trend by offering… Continue reading Sturgeon Swimsuit Release
Cattail was first drafted as a tank top to pair with the Tamarack Tights that Sherri had been planning since before Sofiona Designs first launched. Welcome to the fastest Sofiona sew thus far!! We are starting to be known as "clean, but not quick" and I'm totally good with that! But I also know that people want a quick make and it's been a regular conversation around Sofiona headquarters that we need to keep the quick sews in mind.
Tide is a halter-style knit dress or peplum with the feel of a pair of overalls with the straps coming over the shoulders and through the loops. It's fairly simple, but with just enough detail to make it something that I can really say is "me". My style. And I hope you love it too.
With the 3 possible locations for the flounces (or not), this is where you can make some choices that suit your style. I, personally, love the way I can make matching dresses without fully matching by choosing only certain flounces or using trim instead.
We haven't properly introduced our Starry Night PJs to you yet! And when we decided to do a sew-a-long featuring this pattern, we figured it was time! So have a read about this pattern and then we will discuss the sew-a-long with prize details from So Sew English Fabrics.
This pattern comes as either a completely reversible peplum shirt, or as a knee length dress. The front bodice boasts clean lines and a slight boatneck neckline.
These tights include 2 different waistband options. The first one is a fold over elastic band (a personal favourite method of ours for adding elastic waistbands to pants/leggings).
